About Us
Mission
The Morgan Hill Library Foundation's mission is to support an endowment to fund capital and large-scale operational needs ot the Morgan Hill Library to ensure that the community has access to knowledge, ideas, and cultural enrichment in state-of-the-art facilities. We accomplish this by encouraging private support through gifts, trusts, government and private foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, and bequests.
Other Library-Serving Organizations
The Morgan Hill Library Foundation seeks to fund major, long-term needs of the Morgan Hill Library, such as facilities and operational hours. Our work complements the work done by the Friends of the Morgan Hill Library (FMHL), a membership group that funds short-term, immediate needs of the Morgan Hill Library. FMHL accepts donations of used books, sells them in a bookstore located in the Morgan Hill Library lobby, online, and at periodic Big Book Sales; FMHL then spends those funds to purchase books, services, and materials not covered by the library's regular budget. We also work cooperatively with the City of Morgan Hill, which provides the library's facility, and the Santa Clara County Library system, which operates the Morgan Hill Library.
